Radioiodine Treatment – Pricing & What’s Included

Treatment fees are a fixed cost of £3,300.

Your fee includes:

  • All consultations including an initial assessment of your cat’s suitability for treatment, a telephone consultation, an admission appointment and a discharge appointment
  • Thyroid level blood test prior to treatment
  • Radioiodine (I-131) administration
  • Sedation if necessary
  • All medication during your cat’s stay
  • A supply of flushable litter for use during the post-treatment period at home
  • Follow-up support as subsequent blood results are taken and sent to us by your veterinary surgeon.
  • The length of your cat’s stay will depend on both the dose of radioiodine received and how quickly your cat excretes radiation. Your cat will be discharged as soon as it is safe to do so, following advice from our Radiation Protection Advisers.

If you are unable to meet the post-treatment home care requirements (link) at the time of discharge, we can accommodate your cat for an additional week. This extended stay is available for a flat fee of £350.
