Radioiodine Treatment – Pricing & What’s Included

Treatment fees are a fixed cost of £3,300 (inclusive of VAT).

Your fee includes:

  • All consultations including an initial assessment of your cat’s suitability for treatment, a telephone consultation, an admission appointment and a discharge appointment
  • Thyroid level blood test prior to treatment
  • Radioiodine (I-131) administration
  • Sedation if necessary
  • All medication during your cat’s stay
  • Follow-up support as subsequent blood results are taken and sent to us by your veterinary surgeon.
  • The length of your cat’s stay will depend on both the dose of radioiodine received and how quickly your cat excretes radiation. Your cat will be discharged as soon as it is safe to do so, following advice from our Radiation Protection Advisers.

Radioiodine treatment is covered by most insurance policies, if you have any questions please get in contact and we’ll be more than happy to help. A deposit of £500 is required at time of booking, with the remainder payable when you pick up your cat.

There are some post-treatment home care requirements (link), and if you cannot meet these then we can accommodate your cat for an additional week. This extended stay is available for a flat fee of £350.
